Own this fine art tribute to three of the most influential horses in equine history!
In the horse world, the Arabian stallions Godolphin Arabian, Darley Arabian, and Byerley Turk are truly "The Three Kings". Incredibly, every modern registered Thoroughbred, American Saddlebred, Standardbred, Tennessee Walking Horse, Quarter Horse, Morgan Horse, Paint Horse and other popular horse breeds trace directly back to all three of them! Each of the three Arabian horses was imported into England and paired with native English mares to produce speed horses. The Byerly Turk was the first to arrive, having been captured by Capt. Robert Byerley from the Turks at the siege of Buda in Hungary in 1686. The Byerley Turk's great-grandson Herod assured the continuity of his line. The next stallion to be imported was the blaze-faced Darley Arabian, who was purchased by Thomas Darley in Syria in 1704. The Darley Arabian's best offspring were Flying Childers (the first truly great Thoroughbred racehorse) and Bartlett's Childers. from whom the mighty Eclipse would descend. The third foundation stallion to come to England was the Godolphin Arabian, imported from France in 1729. His greatest offspring was Cade, originator of the Matchem line. Artist Heather Rohde's historically accurate art portrait, The Three Kings, is a magnificent way to show off your love for the Arabian horse and its staggering influence on other horse breeds! Exceptional quality limited edition fine art reproductions of The Three Kings are now available unframed or framed in a matching brown wood designer frame. Your The Three Kings Arabian horse art is hand signed and numbered by the artist and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
