Hilachas was born in the mountains of Columbia in 1956 and later imported into the United States, where he became the best sire of American Paso Fino show horses of his time! Hilachas was named Paso Fino Sire of the Year in 1974, 1975 and 1976. Known for their strong gaits, balanced conformation, beautiful heads and gracefully arched necks, the offspring and grandoffspring of Hilachas have won more than 150 Paso Fino Grand National Championships!
