Nijinsky, known in the United States as Nijinsky II, was an exceptional Canadian-bred Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. With his powerful build and unique heart-shaped star, Nijinsky was every inch a champion. In 1970, Nijinsky became the first horse in thirty-five years to win the coveted English Triple Crown. Importantly, he was responsible for establishing the international reputation of his sire Northern Dancer. Nijinsky sired 155 Stakes/Group winners and is the only sire to have a winner of the Kentucky and Epson Derbies in the same year! You can bring the magic of Nijinsky into your home with Rohde's striking, true to life portrait! A quote on the bottom of the piece reads: "He really could not help but be anything but phenomenal, right from the start." Your Nijinsky horse art is available unframed or framed under glass in a beautiful brown wood designer frame with an antique white mat. Itcomes hand signed and numbered by the artist and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
