Forego was a true champion and one of the greatest Thoroughbred geldings to ever step hoof on a racetrack! In 57 starts, he won 34, placed in 9, and came in third 7 times, winning close to $2 million. Forego won horse racing's Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year for three years straight: 1974, 1975, and 1976! In the Blood-Horse magazine list of the top 100 U.S. Thoroughbred champions of the 20th century, Forego ranks 8th. Forego retired from the track in 1979 and moved to the framed Kentucky Horse Park. Here he lived in peaceful luxury for the rest of his life. Remember Forego with artist Heather Rohde's double fine art portrait, now available as select limited editions. Quote on bottom of piece reads: "There is a quality that manifests itself in stress of competition. It is called valor. It commands the respect of all, wherever found, in friend or foe, man or horse. Forego had it".You can purchase your Forego art either unframed or framed in a deluxe brown solid wood designer frame with an antique white mat. Your Forego horse racing fine art is hand signed and numbered by the artist and is of exceptional quality. A Certificate of Authenticity is included. A very limited amount of only 50 highly collectible signed and numbered Artist's Proofs are also available (contact us to purchase).
