Business Logo for a Horse Farm:
Rohde created this elaborate custom logo for a horse farm. It features a portrait of the clients' young daughter and their favorite Paso Fino mare. In real life, the girl was physically unable to ride horses. Therefore, the entire picture was a product of the artist's imagination working with the client's suggestions. Rohde designed the artwork to look striking on the horse farm entrance sign as well as on advertisements and T-shirts. This piece is just one of many art logos that Rohde has created for horse stables and other businesses.

Book Illustration:
The author of "Barbaro, Smarty Jones & Ruffian: The Peoples' Horses", Dr. Linda Hanna, licensed the use of four of Rohde's portraits of famous racehorses as interior book illustrations. Hanna commissioned one of the portraits as well as a composite piece which Rohde created specifically for the book. Rohde worked closely with the author to ensure that the artwork met her needs and deadlines.

The book, published by Middle Atlantic Press, features introductions by both the owner of famous racehorse Smarty Jones and the Governor of Pennsylvania. It has been well received by the horse racing community.

Custom Christmas Cards:
A Texas based marketing company commissioned Rohde to create art for the front of their Christmas cards. Other than giving general suggestions on theme, the clients entrusted Rohde to design the cards in whichever way she chose.

The company makes annual holiday donations on behalf of their customers to a therapeutic riding center, hence the subject matter. This center, which provides horse assisted therapy for the disabled, received a portion of the cards for their own use. The client and the riding center were delighted with the art!

Book Cover Design & Interior Illustration:
Rohde created the cover design for "Beyond Greatness: Four Thoroughbred Legends" by Charles Justice as well as all of the interior artwork. The author states that the design perfectly captures the intangible quality of "greatness" while relating to the somewhat ethereal nature of the statistical information and biblical references that he presents in the book. Mr. Justice licensed the use of several of Rohde's Thoroughbred horse art portraits for use in the book, including one that the artist created by request. The author received much positive feedback from Rohde's work.

Custom Porcelain Collector Plates:
An overseas client asked Rohde to create custom horse art porcelain collector plates based on some original graphite/charcoal portraits that she had commissioned from the artist previously. Rohde designed and oversaw the production of the fine plates which were rimmed with gold and complete with matching display stands. The client was thrilled with the results!

Magazine Cover, Interior Art & Postage Stamps:
The esteemed magazine Australian Stamps Professional (ASP) licensed Rohde's paintings of famous Thoroughbred race horse Phar Lap for use on the cover of this special issue as well as accompanying an interior feature article about the Australian equine hero. In partnership with Australia Post, ASP also released two versions of limited edition Australian postage stamps featuring Rohde Phar Lap horse art.
